The Mohair & Possum Store wishes to offer you the best service available. We pride ourselves on the customer service we provide and welcome any feedback. Should you have any questions or queries please contact us.

Shipping Information

New Zealand – Delivered by NZ Couriers or NZ Post (tracked)

  • North Island delivery between 2–4 working days – $10.00 flat rate
  • South Island delivery between 2–5 working days – $15.00 flat rate

Customs Duty, Taxes & Refused Deliveries

All international orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, tariffs, and fees imposed by the destination country.

These charges are the responsibility of the purchaser and are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost unless explicitly stated.

If an order is refused, unclaimed, or returned to us due to unpaid customs duties or taxes, the customer will be refunded for the goods only, less all shipping, return shipping, customs, and handling costs incurred by us.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Australian purchases include Australian GST which we pay on your behalf at the border.

As of August 2025, the US announced a 15% tariff for NZ-origin imports and removed the “De Minimus” exemption (previously for goods under US$800). This means US customers are responsible for paying the 15% tariff plus any other applicable duties or taxes when the goods arrive in the USA. Refusal or non-payment of these charges may result in the parcel being returned and a partial refund only, in accordance with our Shipping & Returns policy.

International Delivery Charge

Delivery prices are calculated on weight and will be shown during the ordering process before payment is requested.

30 Day Money-Back Guarantee

The Mohair & Possum Store aims to deliver goods of the highest quality. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it unused within 30 days of receiving the goods.

Items must be returned:

  • unused and unworn
  • with original swing tags attached
  • in original condition

Conditions of exchange or refund

  • Mohair yarn may be exchanged only. Extra shipping charges apply.
  • Excess yarn from an original purchase cannot be exchanged.
  • Refunds apply to products only – shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • Products returned for exchange or refund are at the purchaser’s expense.
  • We will cover the cost of sending exchanged products back to the purchaser within New Zealand.
